OAKWOOD MEN'S BASKETBALL WILL TAKE ON TALLADEGA COLLEGE TUESDAY AT HBCUAC CHAMPIONSHIP

NEW ORLEANS – Oakwood University (4-24, 3-15) will take on Talladega College (19-8, 12-6) Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the opening round of the HBCUAC 2025 Hope Credit Union Basketball Championship at Stillman College in Tuscaloosa.

The Ambassadors are the No. 13 seed, while the Tornadoes are the No. 4 seed.

Talladega College swept the season series, winning 65-46 on Feb. 1 in Huntsville and 89-60 at home on Feb. 18.

Tuesday's other game features No. 5 seed Philander Smith taking on No. 12 seed Voorhees University at 6 p.m.

On Wednesday, No 6 seed Southern University of New Orleans will take on No. 11 seed Rust College at 2 p.m. and No. 7 seed Wilberforce University will take on No. 10 seed Fisk University at 8 p.m.

On Thursday, No. 8 seed Virgin Islands takes on No. 9 seed Wiley University at 2 p.m. and the Oakwood/Talladega College winner takes on the Philander Smith/Voorhees winner at 6 p.m.

On Friday, No. 3 seed Dillard University takes on the SUNO/Rust College winner at 12 p.m. No. 2 seed Tougaloo College will take on the Wilberforce/Fisk winner at 4 p.m., while No. 1 seed Stillman College will take on the Virgin Islands/Wiley winner at 8 p.m.

The semifinals are Saturday March 1 with the championship game slated for Sunday March 2 at 7 p.m.
