OAKWOOD MAKES SEASON-HIGH 11 3-POINTERS IN EXHIBITION GAME AGAINST MVSU

ITTA BENA, Miss. – Oakwood University men's basketball made a season-high 11 3-pointers, but it wasn't enough as the Ambassadors fell 91-71 to Mississippi Valley State Monday night in an exhibition game inside the Harrison HPER Complex.

Jeray Randall had a team-high three 3-pointers, while Jordan Bell and Chase Jackson had two each. Steven Aroh, Jaywill Thornton, Damon Fann and Naftal Morara had one apiece.

Bell led Oakwood with 20 points and six rebounds. He was 8-of-13 from the field, including 2-of-6 from 3-point range, and 2-of-3 from the free throw line. Bell also had three steals, two assists and a block.

Randall backed Bell with 11 points. He was 4-of-7 from the field, including 3-of-6 from beyond the arc. Randall also had three assists, two rebounds and one steal.

The Ambassadors shot 47.3 percent (26-of-55) from the field, including 32.4 percent (11-of-34) from 3-point range, and 66.7 percent (8-of-12) from the free throw line.

Alvin Stredic led three MVSU players in double figures with 29 points. Greg Moore and Donovan Sanders finished with 17 and 10 points, respectively.

The Delta Devils shot 55.6 percent (25-of-63) from the field, including 22.2 percent (4-of-18) from 3-point range, and 58.6 percent (17-of-29) from the charity stripe.

Oakwood is back in action Saturday at Washington Adventist University.
