ADAMS NAMED OAKWOOD'S PLAYER OF THE WEEK DEC 10 - 16

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Trenisha Adams, a 5-foot-5 junior guard from Rome, GA, has been named Oakwood University's Player of the Week sponsored by Zaxby's.

In four games during the week of Dec. 10 through Dec. 16, Adams averaged 18.5 points, 3.75 rebounds, 3.75 assists and 1.75 steals, while shooting 51 percent (23-of-45) from the field, 50 percent (20-of-40) from 3-point range, and 80 percent (8-of-10) from the free throw line.

Adams' best games came against Dillard University on Dec. 13 and Southern University of New Orleans on Dec. 14.

She finished with 22 points, five rebounds, five assists and four steals in an 83-76 loss to the Bleu Devils in overtime. Adams was 6-of-13 from the field, including 5-of-12 from beyond the arc, and was 5-of-6 from the charity stripe.

Adams had 18 points, six rebounds, five assists and three steals in a 73-70 win over SUNO. She was 6-of-9 from the field, including 5-of-8 from 3-point range, and made 1-of-2 free throws.
