OAKWOOD'S FOUR-GAME WINNING STREAK SNAPPED AT DILLARD

NEW ORLEANS – Despite having four players finish in double figures, Oakwood University couldn't slow down Dillard University Saturday night as the Bleu Devils emerged with a 92-74 victory over the Ambassadors inside Dent Hall in a women's basketball game.

Oakwood trailed just 61-56 after three quarters, but was outscored 31-14 over the final 10 minutes as its four-game winning streak came to an end. The 92 points were the second-most the Ambassadors allowed this season. Oakwood gave up 93 in a loss to UT-Southern back in November.

The loss dropped the Ambassadors to 15-7 on the season. Dillard improved to 11-13.

Kamaria Murray led Oakwood with 21 points on 6-of-13 shooting, including 3-of-6 from 3-point range, and made all six of her free throw attempts. She also had eight rebounds, five assists and three steals.

Saniya Keys had 15 points and 10 rebounds, while Trenisha Adams and Shaniya Sanders finished with 13 points apiece.

The Ambassadors shot 38.2 percent (29-of-76) from the field, including 31.8 percent (7-of-22) from 3-point range, and 90 percent (9-of-10) from the free throw line.

Dillard was led D'Mya Ferguson, one of five players in double figures, with a game-high 22 points and 14 rebounds.

Kayla Terry finished with 19 points, Davielis Berroa 18, Faith Alessandra 17 and Kiara Howard 16.

The Bleu Devils shot 50 percent (37-of-74) from the field, including 54.5 percent (6-of-11) from beyond the arc, and 85.7 percent (12-of-14) from the charity stripe.
