OAKWOOD WOMEN'S BASKETBALL VISITS ALABAMA A&M UNIVERSITY TONIGHT IN EXHIBITION GAME

Huntsville, Ala. – Oakwood University will make the short drive to Alabama A&M tonight for an exhibition game inside the Event Center.

Tipoff is 6:30.

The Ambassadors are 1-1 after beating Washington Adventist 86-76 Saturday night in overtime.

Saniya Keys and Trenisha Adams have been Oakwood's two best players through the first two games.

Keys is averaging 26 points and 17.5 rebounds, while Adams is averaging 12 points, 4.5 rebounds and three assists per game.

A&M, under new coach Dawn Thornton, was picked to finish third in the Southwestern Athletic Conference preseason poll.

Senior forward Alisha Wilson was named the preseason SWAC Defensive Player of the Year in addition to being a first-team All-SWAC selection, while Coriah Beck, who played for Thornton at Arkansas-Pine Bluff, was also named to the All-SWAC first team.
