KEYS NAMED OAKWOOD'S PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Saniya Keys, a 6-0 freshman forward/center from Cottonwood, has been named Oakwood University's Player of the Week sponsored by Zaxby's.

In two games during the week of Oct. 28 through Nov. 3, Keys averaged 26 points and 17.5 rebounds while shooting 57.5 percent from the field.

Keys scored 22 points and grabbed 17 rebounds in her first college game last Tuesday in a 94-61 loss to Tennessee Southern. She was 10-of-16 from the field in 28 minutes with one assist and one steal.

On Saturday, Keys had 30 points and 18 rebounds to help Oakwood beat Washington Adventist 86-76 in overtime. She was 9-of-17 from the field in 34 minutes with a block and two steals.
