It's now or never for Oakwood University.
Coach Aleshia Greene's team begins a stretch of seven games in 13 days starting today at Philander Smith College at the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Round Up at Rust College in Holly Springs, Miss. Tipoff is noon at Kinzell Lawson Gymnasium in the W.A. McMillan Center.
The Ambassadors (4-15, 2-5 GCAC) enter today's game losers of four in a row, but are just one game back of Wiley College, Dillard University and Tougaloo College, who are all 3-4 in league play.
"We control our own destiny," Greene said. "We can't win the regular season title, but we can improve our seeding for the tournament if we can win some of these games. We want to make a run down the stretch and build some momentum."
Oakwood is led by guards
Nekaya Williams (Lilburn, GA),
