JENNINGS' TWO-RUN HOMER SPARKS OAKWOOD'S COME-FROM-BEHIND WIN OVER LEMOYNE-OWEN

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Jordan Jennings' two-run homer sparked a six-run sixth inning Tuesday afternoon as Oakwood University rallied from a 4-1 deficit to claim a thrilling 7-6 come-from-behind victory over LeMoyne-Owen College to split a doubleheader.
 
The Magicians downed Oakwood 9-3 in Tuesday's opener.
 
Oakwood improved to 3-19 on the season with the win.
 
Game 1
 
The Ambassadors fell behind 9-0 after three innings and never threatened.           
 
Corey Levy, Akari David and Terrance Carr had a hit apiece for Oakwood.
 
Jaylan Sharpe (0-1) took the loss, allowing eight runs on three hits in two innings. He walked eight and struck out one.
 
Game 2
 
The Ambassadors' sixth inning rally started when Sharpe singled to score Chance Jaubert to pull Oakwood within 4-2. Jennings followed with his two-run homer to tie the game at 4-4.
 
David singled to score Levy to give Oakwood a 5-4 advantage and Jaubert's two-run single scored David and Dakota Cobb to put the Ambassadors up 7-4.
 
The Magicians scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh, but Carr hung on to pick up the complete game 7-6 victory.
 
Sharpe was 2-for-2 with an RBI and scored two runs, while Levy was 2-for-4 and scored a run and Jaubert was 2-for-4, scored a run and had two RBI.
 
David and Cobb were both 1-for-3 and scored a run each, while Herb Collins was 1-for-4.
Jennings was 1-for-5, including his two-run homer.
 
Carr (1-0) allowed seven runs, five earned, on five hits in seven innings. He walked five and struck out four.
