The win lifted Oakwood to 1-5 on the season. LeMoyne-Owen fell to 4-5. Game 1 The Ambassadors led 2-0 after three innings, but the Magicians scored three in the top of the fifth to take the lead. Oakwood tied the game with a run in the bottom half of the inning, but LeMoyne-Owen pushed across three runs in the top of the seventh to take the 6-3 victory. Mack went 2-for-2 and scored a run to lead the Ambassadors. Gutierrez, Terrance Carr and Jaylan Sharpe had one hit apiece. Carr and Gutierrez had one RBI apiece, while Mack, Jordan Jennings and Sharpe scored a run each. Jayden Coleman (0-1) took the loss, allowing three runs, one earned, on two hits in two innings. He walked one. Game 2 Woods went 3-for-3 with an RBI and scored two runs, while Edmondson finished 2-for-3, including an RBI-double and scored three runs to help the Ambassadors pick up their first win of the season. Oakwood trailed 6-3 midway through the fifth inning before erupting for five runs in the bottom half of the inning and tacked on eight more in the sixth to win 16-6. Mack had a hit, two RBI and scored three runs, while Akari David had a hit, one RBI and scored two runs. Gutierrez had a hit, one RBI and scored a run, while Jennings had a hit, one RBI and scored a run. Herb Collins and Carr had two RBI apiece and scored a run each. Edmondson (1-1) picked up the win, allowing no runs on one hit in 2.1 innings. He walked one and struck out four. Oakwood opens HBCU Athletic Conference play Thursday at Stillman College.
