KEYS SENDS OAKWOOD'S SENIORS OUT ON GOOD NOTE WITH DOMINANT FOURTH PERIOD

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Saniya Keys couldn't let Trenisha Adams and the rest of Oakwood University's seniors lose on Senior Night.

As a result, Keys dominated the fourth period to lead Oakwood past Stillman College 53-42 Saturday night in an HBCU Athletic Conference game inside Ashby Auditorium to send the seniors out on a good note.

The reigning HBCUAC Player of the Year, Keys scored 11 of her 16 points in the fourth period to help the Ambassadors hold off the Tigers before a raucous crowd.

After Chayce Matthews buried a 3-pointer to open the fourth period to give Stillman a 36-34 advantage, Oakwood responded with a 14-0 run to take a commanding 48-36 advantage and cruised the rest of the way.

The win lifted the Ambassadors to 13-6 overall and 9-1 in the East Division. The Tigers fell to 10-9 and 7-4.

Keys led the way with 16 points and 13 rebounds. Kamaria Murray scored 12 points, while Morgan Bone finished with 10.

The Ambassadors shot 27 percent (17-of-63) from the field, including 14.3 percent (2-of-14) from 3-point range, and 58.6 percent (17-of-29) from the free throw line.

Matthews led Stillman with 16 points.

The Tigers shot 29.1 percent (16-of-55) from the field, including 31.8 percent (7-of-22)
from beyond the arc, and 60 percent (3-of-5) from the charity stripe.
