OAKWOOD WOMEN'S BASKETBALL HOSTS STILLMAN COLLEGE TONIGHT

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Oakwood University women's basketball will host Stillman College tonight in a nonconference game at Ashby Auditorium. Tipoff is set for 5:30.
 
The Tigers whipped the Ambassadors 72-43 two months ago in Tuscaloosa. Oakwood fell behind 33-20 at intermission and never threatened the rest of the way.
 
Stillman will join the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference next season and this contest will become a league game.
 
Oakwood is led by Nekaya Williams and Trenisha Adams.
 
Williams is coming off of a spectacular performance Saturday night against Fisk.
She finished with a career-high 29 points, four rebounds, three assists and two steals in 38 minutes. Williams was 10-of-16 from the field, including 5-of-8 from 3-point range, and made all four of her free throws.
 
Williams is currently averaging 13.8 points and 6.6 rebounds per game. She leads the Ambassadors in scoring, rebounding, assists (62) and steals (28).
 
Adams is averaging 13.6 points and 4.9 rebounds. She is shooting a team-high 38.1 percent from 3-point range and has a team-high 53 3-pointers. She is second on the team with 27 steals.
 
Farrah Pearson, a former Hazel Green star, is Stillman's top player. Pearson is averaging 10.4 points and 6.5 rebounds per game.
