THREE AMBASSDORS EARN HITS IN LOSS TO BLUE MOUNTAIN CHRISTIAN

BLUE MOUNTAIN, Miss. – Mateo Hamm had two hits and Jordan Jennings and Ahmad Woods had one each, but Blue Mountain Christian was too much for Oakwood University Wednesday in a 15-1 win over the Ambassadors at the BMCU Sportsplex.
 
Oakwood fell to 0-10 with the loss. Blue Mountain improved to 11-3.
 
Hamm was 2-for-4, while Jennings and Woods were 1-for-3 and 1-for-2, respectively.
 
Anthony Brent Jr. scored the Ambassadors' lone run.
 
Hamm fell to 0-3 with the loss. He allowed nine runs, seven earned, on 10 hits in four innings of work. He walked two and struck out two.
 
Oakwood scored its lone run in the sixth inning.
 
Hamm singled to open the inning. Brent Jr pinch ran for Hamm and stole second one out later. Brent Jr advanced to third on a ground out and scored when Woods singled to left field to help the Ambassadors avoid the shutout.
 
Oakwood will host Southeastern Baptist College in its home opener Wednesday at John Hunt Park.
