JOHNSON, MORROW, ARNETT RECORD HITS AGAINST FAULKNER

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Katie Johnson had two hits and Jana Morrow and Sydney Arnett had one each, but it wasn't enough as Faulker University downed Oakwood University 5-1 and 8-0 Friday afternoon at Ambassador Field.

Oakwood fell to 0-4 on the season. Faulkner improved to 3-1.

Game 1
Johnson went 1-for-4 and Morrow went 1-for-3 with an RBI to pace the Ambassadors.

Down 4-0, Oakwood avoided the shutout with a run in the sixth inning.

Morgan Arbitelle walked to open the inning. Taylor Lawrence pinch ran for Arbitelle and advanced to third on a couple of groundouts before Morrow singled to right center to drive in Lawrence to make it 4-1.

Arnett (0-2) took the loss, allowing five runs, four earned, on five hits in seven innings. She walked one and struck out four.

Game 2
Johnson and Arnett had hits in the nightcap.

Ashlyn Hallman (0-2) took the loss, allowing four runs, all earned, on no hits.
