OAKWOOD'S HOWARD NAMED 2026 NAIA THIRD-TEAM ALL-AMERICAN

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced the 2026 NAIA Softball All-America teams today and Oakwood University shortstop Jordan Howard was named to the third team.
 
Howard, who was named the HBCU Athletic Conference Player of the Year in April, batted .489, scored 33 runs, had 12 doubles and 19 RBI while posting a .705 slugging percentage. She led Oakwood to a third-place finish in the HBCUAC Championship.
 
A sophomore from Chelsea, Howard was the league's Freshman of the Year in 2025 and will be counted on heavily next season as the Ambassadors try to win their first conference softball title.
