ALABAMA A&M TOO MUCH FOR OAKWOOD IN EXHIBITION GAME

Huntsville, Ala. – Oakwood University had three players in double figures, but it wasn't enough as Alabama A&M came away with an easy 96-50 victory Monday night in an exhibition game at the Event Center.

Madison McDonald led the way for the Ambassadors with 14 points. Alecia Reasor finished with 13 points, while Saniya Keys added 10 points and six rebounds.

Oakwood shot 38.9 percent (14-of-36) from the field, including 60 percent (3-of-5) from 3-point range, and 70.4 percent (19-of-27) from the free throw line.

The Ambassadors turned the ball over 38 times and were outscored 40-8 in points off of turnovers and 42-18 in points in the paint.

Alisha Wilson, the Southwestern Athletic Conference Preseason Defensive Player of the Year and a first-team preseason pick, led the Bulldogs with 25 points.

Lauryn Pendleton finished with 17 points and Shelomi Sanders had 14 points.

A&M shot 40.4 percent (36-of-89) from the field, including 27.8 percent (10-of-36) from beyond the arc, and 70 percent (14-of-20) from the charity stripe.

Oakwood hosts Faulkner University Saturday at 6 p.m.
