OAKWOOD WOMEN'S BASKETBALL TRIES TO SNAP FOUR-GAME LOSING STREAK WITH TALLADEGA IN TOWN

Oakwood University women's basketball will try to snap its four-game losing streak when it takes on Talladega College tonight in an early-season Gulf Coast Athletic Conference game. Tipoff is 6 at Ashby Auditorium.

The Ambassadors, riding a four-game losing streak, enter the game 2-6 overall and 0-1 in league play after Thursday's loss at Tougaloo College. The Tornadoes, losers of two straight, are 3-3 and 1-1.

Oakwood got a great effort from Nekaya Williams (Atlanta, GA) in the loss to Tougaloo.

Williams finished with a game-high 26 points on 9-of-17 shooting, including 2-of-7 from 3-point range, and 6-of-9 from the free throw line. She also grabbed six rebounds, three assists, two steals and three blocks.

Williams is averaging a team-high 13.5 points per game and 6.7 rebounds. Trenisha Adams (Rome, GA) is averaging 10 points per game, while RB Mitchell (Detroit, MI) is pouring in 9.2 points per game.

Talladega counters with Arieonna Booker and Alexiah McMillian, who are averaging 10.2 and 10 points, respectively.
