OAKWOOD TAKES ON JARVIS CHRISTIAN IN HBCU WOMEN'S INVITATIONAL

Fresh off of its win of the season against Blue Mountain College, Oakwood University will try to make it two in a row today when it takes on Jarvis Christian in the Dallas HBCU Women's Invitational. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m.

Williams (Atlanta, GA) and Nariah Alexander (Southaven, MS) combined for 29 points and 18 rebounds to help the Ambassadors down the Toppers. The duo will try to put together another big effort against the Bulldogs.

Oakwood is 1-1 overall, while Jarvis Christian is also 1-1. The Bulldogs lost to Wiley College 68-61, but beat Centenary College 72-51.

Williams is averaging a team-high 13.5 points per game and is second in rebounding at 7.5 for the Ambassadors. RB Mitchell (Detroit, MI) is averaging 11.5 points per game, while Alexander is averaging 11 points and a team-high 10 rebounds per game.

Faith Robinson is averaging 16 points and 10 rebounds to lead Jarvis Christian. Jada Williams is averaging 12.5 points, while Raniya White is averaging 11 points and nine rebounds.

After today's game, Oakwood will play Texas College Saturday at 7 p.m.
