Box Score NEW ORLEANS, La. – Oakwood University ran into a buzzsaw on the last day of the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference Round Up Sunday as Rust College scored early and often enroute to a 70-50 victory at Dillard University's Dent Hall.

The Lady Ambassadors fell behind 37-22 at intermission and never threatened in the second half.

Oakwood fell to 4-12 overall and 2-2 in league play. Rust improved to 10-3 and 4-0.

Keiah Dancy (Detroit, MI) led Oakwood with 11 points off the bench. Nobody else had more than eight points.

The Lady Ambassadors shot 31.6 percent (18-of-57) from the field, including 15.8 percent (3-of-19) from 3-point range, and 78.6 percent (11-of-14) from the free throw line.

Karyn Ford led three Lady Bearcats in double figures with 12 points.

Rust shot 38.1 percent (24-of-63) from the field, including 36.7 percent (11-of-30) from 3-point range, and 68.8 percent (11-of-16) from the charity stripe.

Oakwood will host the second GCAC Round Up beginning Sunday at Ashby Auditorium.
