OAKWOOD'S MACK, GREEN, POST BIG NUMBERS IN SERIES LOSS TO WILBERFORCE

CINCINNATI – Joshua Mack and Jamison Green came up big for Oakwood University, but it wasn't enough as Wilberforce University swept a three-game HBCU Athletic Conference baseball series from the Ambassadors Thursday and Friday at Gendell Family Field.
 
The Bulldogs downed the Ambassadors 22-10 and 15-7 on Thursday before taking Friday's series finale 30-13.
 
Mack batted .667, going 6-for-9 with a homer, scored five runs and had five RBI.
 
Green batted .400, going 4-for-10 with a homer, scored two runs and had six RBI.
 
Chance Jaubert batted .428, going 3-for-7, scored three runs and had an RBI, while Jordan Jennings batted .300 with an RBI and scored four runs.
 
Game 1
 
The Ambassadors led 7-6 midway through the third inning, but the Bulldogs scored eight runs in the bottom of the inning and added five more in the bottom of the fourth to break it open.
 
Wilberforce won despite committing 10 errors in the game, but finished with 22 runs on 19 hits.
 
Mack led the way, going 2-for-3 with a homer, his first of the season, scored two runs and had three RBI.
 
Jennings, Green, Landon Bradley, Terrance Carr and Caleb Edmondson had a hit each.
 
Dakota Cobb (0-5) took the loss, allowing 14 runs, 11 earned, on 10 hits in 2.1 innings. He walked four and struck out two.
 
Game 2
 
Oakwood fell behind 11-1 through four innings and never recovered.
 
Green went 2-for-4 with an RBI, while Jennings, Bradley, Mack, Jaubert, Collins and Edmondson had one hit apiece.
 
Eli Kennedy (0-6) took the loss, allowing 10 runs, nine earned, on eight hits in three innings.
 
Game 3
 
The game was tied 11-11 after two innings, but Wilberforce erupted for 17 runs in the bottom of the third inning to take a commanding 28-13 lead enroute to the series sweep.
 
Mack went 3-for-4 with an RBI and scored two runs, while Jaubert went 2-for-3 with an RBI and scored two runs.
 
Corey Levy went 2-for-4 with a double, scored a run and had three RBI.
 
Jennings, Green, Collins and Jayden Rolling had a hit apiece.
 
Jayden Coleman (0-3) took the loss, allowing 17 runs, three earned, on 11 hits in two innings.
