HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Oakwood University Athletics along with coach Darrius Johnson released its 2026 softball schedule today that includes a mixture of local, regional and HBCU Athletic Conference games.
The Ambassadors will play 34 games, including 21 HBCUAC games. All home games will be played at University Field.
Oakwood opens the season at Lane College on Feb. 12. The Ambassadors' home opener is Feb. 15 against Harris-Stowe State University. First pitch is 7 p.m.
Oakwood opens HBCUAC play at home against Rust College on Feb. 21.
The Ambassadors also play non-conference series against Cumberland University and Alabama A&M.
"We've got a very difficult schedule," said Johnson, who is entering his first season. "Not only do we play a tough conference slate, we're playing Cumberland University, one of the top NAIA programs in the country along with Alabama A&M."
