OAKWOOD SOCCER FALLS TO MUW

COLUMBUS, Miss. – Neriah Bean recorded 11 saves and Isaac Abrahams and Moral Uwineza posted Oakwood University's first shots on goal of the season, but it wasn't enough as the Mississippi University for Women blanked the Ambassadors 6-0 Monday night in a men's soccer game at the Roger Short Soccer Complex.
 
The loss dropped Oakwood to 0-3 on the season. MUW improved to 3-5.
 
Qwineza had two of the Ambassadors' five shots on the night, including a shot on goal. Abrahams had the other shot on goal. Alessandro Davis and Rajae Brooks had Oakwood's other shots on the night.
 
The Owls outshot the Ambassadors 26-5, including 17-2 in shots on goal.
 
Kyle Morris scored two goals for MUW, while Trey Parnell, Prteston Holmes, Jordan Ware and Juan Pugh had one each.
 
Oakwood visits Tougaloo Sunday in its first HBCU Athletic Conference game of the season.
