OU'S MORROW NAMED FIRST-TEAM ALL CAC, ARNETT, LOWE, JOHNSON NAMED SECOND TEAM

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – Oakwood University placed four players on the 2024 Continental Athletic Conference Softball Team, league officials announced Thursday.

Junior Jana Morrow was named to the first team as a utility player, while junior pitcher Sydney Arnett, freshman infielder Taytum Lowe and junior outfielder

Katie Johnson were named to the second team.

Morrow hit a team-high 393 with three homers, three doubles and two triples.
She led the team in batting average (.393), homers (3), total bases (62), slugging percentage (.530) and tied for first with 21 RBI and 24 runs scored.

Arnett was 9-17 on the season with a 3.48 ERA. She pitched 191.1 innings and finished with 202 strikeouts and walked 54 batters. Arnett started 31 games and had 26 complete games.

At the plate, Arnett batted .360, third best on the team, hit one homer and had 15 RBI. She finished second on the team in hits (40), doubles (6), RBI (15) and total bases (51). Arnett had a .459 slugging percentage.

Lowe batted .268, scored 13 runs and had 10 RBI. She finished with 26 hits, including four doubles, and had 30 total bases. Defensively, Lowe had a .980 fielding percentage. She committed just two errors in 98 chances.

Johnson batted .322 with one homer and 15 RBI. She had 29 hits, including five doubles, scored 24 runs, had 37 total bases and a .411 slugging percentage. Defensively, Johnson had a .959 fielding percentage. She committed three errors in 74 chances.
