OAKWOOD SWEEPS HARRIS-STOWE, ENDS SEASON ON A HIGH NOTE

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Jana Morrow and Katie Johnson combined for nine hits, six runs and nine RBI and three other players, Sydney Arnett, Ashlyn Hallman and Taylor Mancone had three hits apiece as Oakwood University ended the season on a high note Friday by sweeping Harris-Stowe State 11-1 and 13-5 at Ambassador Field.
 
The Ambassadors scored 24 runs on 25 hits in the doubleheader. Oakwood finished the season 13-27, increasing its win total by seven games from last year.
 
Game 1
 
Morrow was 2-for-3, scored two runs and had an RBI, while Johnson was 2-for-3, scored a run and had two RBI in the opener.
 
Mancone, Arnett, Hallman and Kaley Fuller had a hit apiece.
 
Mancone scored three runs, while Arnett and Hallman scored two each. Johnson and Fuller scored a run apiece.
 
Johnson and Fuller had two RBI apiece, while Arnett and Hallman had one each.

Arnett got the win, allowing one run on three hits in five innings. She struck out 11.
 
Game 2
 
Morrow was 3-for-4, including a triple, scored two runs and had three RBI.
 
TiAnna Lawrence, Mancone, Arnett, Hallman, Johnson and Alexis Copeland had two hits each, while Fuller and Taytum Lowe had one apiece.
 
Lawrence, Arnett and Hallman scored two runs apiece, while Mancone, Johnson, Fuller, Copeland and Lowe scored one each.
 
Johnson had three RBI, while Lawrence, Arnett, Fuller, Copeland and Lowe had one each.
 
Ashlyn Hallman got the win, allowing five runs on eight hits in five innings. She walked one and struck out eight.
