HARMON, KENNARD FINISH IN DOUBLE FIGURES IN LOSS TO TALLADEGA COLLEGE

TALLADEGA, Ala. – Amonte Harmon and Nicholas Kennard finished in double figures, but Talladega College scored early and often and went on to hand Oakwood University its 13^th straight loss in an 82-59 victory Tuesday night in a Gulf Coast Athletic Conference game inside the Hawkins Student Activity Center.

The Ambassadors fell to 1-24 overall and 1-15 in league play. The Tornados improved to 20-6 and 9-4.

Harmon led Oakwood with 13 points. He was 4-of-7 from the field, including 2-of-5 from 3-point range, and made all three of his free throws.

Kennard finished with 11 points.

The Ambassadors shot 33.3 percent (21-of-63) from the field, including 21.2 percent (7-of-33) from 3-point range, and 76.9 percent (10-of-13) from the free throw line.

Cartrell Thompson led three Talladega players in double figures with 15 points. Ethelbert Anum and Shaun Walker finished with 12 points each.

The Tornados shot 59.3 percent (35-of-59) from the field, including 40 percent (6-of-15) from deep, and 50 percent (6-of-12) from the charity stripe.

Oakwood hosts Rust College tonight at 7:30 in a GCAC game.
