BELL SHINES IN EXHIBITION LOSS TO ALABAMA A&M

Huntsville, Ala. – Jordan Bell may have been the best player on the floor Thursday night.

Bell, a 6-foot-6 senior forward, scored 24 points and Oakwood University had two other players finish in double figures in a 121-78 loss to Alabama A&M in an exhibition game inside the AAMU Event Center.

A Mobile native, Bell had his best all-around of the season against the Bulldogs.

He was 8-of-21 from the field, including 3-of-8 from 3-point range, in 34 minutes. Bell also had 10 rebounds, five assists and two steals.

Nicholas Kennard backed Bell with 15 points. He was 4-of-7 from the field, including 3-of-5 from beyond the arc and made all four of his free throws. Kennard also had three rebounds three assists and one steal.

Chase Jackson, who played locally at Sparkman High School, finished with 11 points. He was 3-of-7 from the field, 2-of-4 from 3-point range, and 3-of-4 from the charity stripe. Jackson also had three rebounds and two assists.

The Ambassadors shot 33.8 percent (23-of-68), including 36 percent (9-of-25) from 3-point range, and 53.5 percent (23-of-43) from the free throw line.

Oakwood was outscored 76-43 in bench points and 64-26 in the paint.

Chad Moodie led five AAMU players in double figures with 13 points. Dyland Mclead finished with 12 points, while Warren Yeh, London Riley and Ejay Greer scored 11 apiece.

The Bulldogs shot 54.8 percent (46-of-84) from the field, including 36.4 percent (12-of-33) from beyond the arc, and 65.4 percent (17-of-26) from the free throw line.
