OAKWOOD'S KEYS, JACKSON AND BELL WIN HBCUAC WEEKLY AWARDS

NEW ORLEANS – Three Oakwood University student-athletes were honored for their play by the HBCU Athletic Conference, league officials announced Monday.

Saniya Keys was named the league's Offensive Player and Freshman of the Week, while Chase Jackson was named Freshman of the Week and Jordan Bell was named Newcomer of the Week.

The athletes were recognized for their performances between Nov. 18-24.

Keys picked up here sixth weekly honor. She averaged 20 points and 8.5 rebounds over the course of two games.

Keys leads the league in scoring (19.7) and rebounding (11.3).

Jackson earned his first weekly honor. He scored 12 points to go along with five assists and rebounds against Faulkner University last Saturday. In Thursday's game against Stillman, Jackson had four points, three steals and two blocks.

Bell picked his first weekly award. He averaged 21.5 points and seven rebounds per game in two contests. He also contributed seven blocks, four assists and two steals.
