Sydney Arnett had two hits and Jana Morrow had one, but Oakwood University couldn't get untracked offensively as Lane College came away with a pair of 8-0 victories Thursday at Ambassador Field.

Oakwood managed just three hits on the day with all of them coming in the first game. The Ambassadors failed to get a hit in the nightcap.

The losses dropped Oakwood to 2-14 on the season. Lane improved to 26-8.

First game
Arnett (Andalusia, AL) went 2-for-2 in the opener, while Morrow (Moody, AL) went 1-for-2.

Arnett (2-9) took the loss. She allowed eight runs, including six earned, on eight hits in five innings. She walked three and struck out six.

Second game
The Ambassadors managed only one baserunner in the nightcap.

Arnett (2-10) took the loss, allowing eight runs, including six earned, on 10 hits in five innings. She walked one and struck out three.

Oakwood visits LeMoyne-Owen College Tuesday in Memphis.
