MARSHALL, Texas – Oakwood University gave Tougaloo College, the top team in the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference, all it wanted in a nine-point loss almost three weeks ago at Ashby Auditorium.
Things started out much the same Friday afternoon in the GCAC Round Up at Wiley College. Unfortunately, things unraveled quickly.
After
Nicholas Kennard (Antioch, TN) drained a 3-pointer to pull the Ambassadors within 20-19 with just under 12 minutes left in the first half, the Bulldogs outscored Oakwood 30-11 the rest of the half to take a commanding lead at intermission enroute to a 90-75 victory at Alumni Gymnasium.
The loss dropped Oakwood to 3-19 overall and 1-10 in league play. Tougaloo improved to 23-1 and 11-0.
The Ambassadors outscored the Bulldogs 45-40 in the second half, but the outcome had already been decided.

Robert Booker II (Laurel, MD) had 14 points on 6-of-8 shooting, while
A'drelin Robinson (Tallahassee, FL) and
