Oakwood University was no match Saturday night for one of the better programs in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).

Faulkner University, ranked No. 11 in the NAIA preseason poll, downed the Ambassadors 92-62 in the Jimmy Faulkner Classic at Tine W. Davis Gymnasium in Montgomery.

Oakwood fell to 1-3 with the loss, while the Eagles improved to 3-0.

A'drelin Robinson led the Ambassadors with 14 points on 6-of-9 shooting. Jordan Greene and Judelin Prophete finished with 11 and 10 points, respectively.

Oakwood shot only 41 (26-of-63) percent from the field, including 12 (2-of-16) percent from 3-point range and was outrebounded 51-28.

C.J. Hines scored 16 points and handed out 11 assists to lead Faulkner.

Oakwood visits the University of North Alabama Monday night.
