OAKWOOD FALLS TO ALABAMA A&M IN EXHIBITION GAME

BULLDOGS' TALENT AND DEPTH TOO MUCH FOR AMBASSADORS

Oakwood University gave Alabama A&M all it could handle for 20 minutes Thursday night, but the Bulldogs' talent and depth was too much for the Ambassadors to overcome.

In the end, A&M ran away with a 95-79 victory in an exhibition game at Elmore Gym.

Oakwood led 39-38 at intermission, but the Bulldogs outscored the Ambassadors 57-40 in the second half to come away with the 16-point victory.

Edmen Stewart led Oakwood with 14 points on 6-of-12 shooting, including 2-of-4 from 3-point range. He also had a team-high 12 rebounds. Judelin Prophete finished with 12 points on 6-of-9 shooting and six rebounds.

The Ambassadors shot 56 percent from the field (32-of-57) but committed 25 turnovers that led to 26 A&M points. Oakwood also gave up 26 offensive rebounds that led to 26 second chance points for the Bulldogs.

Garrett Hicks led five Bulldogs in double figures with 22 points on 9-of-15 shooting, including 3-of-6 from 3-point range. He also had five rebounds, five assists and five steals.

Dallin Smith finished with 21 points, while Lorenzo Downey chipped in with 11. Eric Lee and Omari Peek had 10 apiece.
