Deandre McIntyre is entering his first season as a men’s basketball assistant coach at Oakwood University.
A native of St. Louis, Mo., McIntyre played at Dallas County High School in Selma, Alabama. From there, he played at Faulkner State Community College in Bay Minette, Alabama, where he earned junior college All-American honors as a combo guard.
McIntyre played at Arkansas-Pine Bluff and helped the Golden Lions reach the NCAA Tournament in 2013.
McIntyre played overseas in England and Canada and worked a number of camps at Samford University and the University of Alabama-Birmingham.
McIntyre earned an Associate’s degree in Social Science from Faulkner State and later earned a Bachelor’s degree in Childhood Development from UAPB.
