Richard Hodnett is entering his second season as the baseball coach at Oakwood University.

COACHING CAREER
This will be Hodnett’s first venture into coaching. A 2007 Oakwood graduate in Communication Arts and Electronic Media,  Hodnett had hoped to play, but the school didn’t field a team during his tenure.  This will be the first time Oakwood has fielded a baseball team in almost a decade.

PLAYING CAREER
Hodnett was a two-year starter at second base at Redlands (CA) Adventist Academy in 2002 and 2003. He was a part of the first graduating class at  Redlands  and also hit the first home run in school history.

FAMILY
Hodnett and his wife, Cheri, are the proud parents of three children, Richard Jr., Eliana and Mila.
