OAKWOOD UNABLE TO COMPLETE COMEBACK AT HOME IN LOSS TO BRYAN COLLEGE

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – After losing the first two sets Friday afternoon, Oakwood University battled back to tie the game against Bryan College, but the Ambassadors couldn't complete the comeback as the Lady Lions emerged with a 3-2 victory inside Ashby Auditorium.
 
Oakwood fell 15-25, 17-25, 25-23, 25-15 and 13-15.
 
It was the second time in as many games this season that the Ambassadors lost to the Lady Lions 3-2.
 
Oakwood fell to 0-5 on the season, while Bryan improved to 6-3.
 
Kamaria Murray led the Ambassadors with seven kills, 13 digs and five aces. Morgan Bone backed Murray with five kills.
 
Alexis Wiley continued her strong play with 21 assists, 17 digs and two aces, while freshman Hannah Daniel finished with 19 digs and three aces.
 
Leah Linquist led Bryan with 10 kills. Kaci Webb had 27 assists and 15 digs.
 
Jaylynn Bullock had 19 digs and seven aces, while Laci Segrest had 10 digs.
 
Oakwood will try to pick up its first win Tuesday when the Ambassadors visit LeMoyne-Owen College in Memphis. First serve it set for 6 p.m.
