JOHNSON SPOILS OAKWOOD VOLLEYBALL SEASON OPENER BY SWEEPING AMBASSADORS

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Johnson University, located in Knoxville, Tenn., spoiled Oakwood University's volleyball season opener Wednesday, beating the Ambassadors 3-0 inside Ashby Auditorium.

The Royals swept Oakwood 25-18, 25-20 and 25-17.

Johnson improved to 1-0, while Oakwood fell to 0-1.

Kamaria Murray led the Ambassadors with nine kills, while Morgan Bone finished with five.

Alexis Wiley had a game-high 19 assists and also had eight digs.

Freshman Hannah Daniel finished with nine digs, while Murray chipped in with five.

Zowee Dillard led Johnson with 12 kills, while Marli Watkins finished with six.

Madison Dahl led the Royals with 12 assists, while Caelyn Marshall chipped in 10.

Anna Birling had 18 digs.

Oakwood is back in action Tuesday at Bryan College.
