JONES NAMED OAKWOOD'S PLAYER OF THE WEEK

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Anna Jones, a senior C/1B from Attalla, has been named Oakwood University's Player of the Week for the week ending April 5.

Jones, who also plays volleyball for the Ambassadors, batted .750 last week in a three-game series against league-leading Dillard University, going 6-for-8 at the plate with three doubles and a triple. She also scored three runs and had four RBI.

Jones currently leads the HBCU Athletic Conference with a .525 batting average and is fourth in RBI with 24.

She leads Oakwood in batting average (.525), RBI (24), total bases (54), triples (3), doubles (13), is tied for the team lead in hits (32) and home runs (1) and is fourth in runs scored (21).
