HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Chase Jackson and Jordan Green have been named Oakwood University's Co-Players of the Week for their effort in a season-opening win over Washington Adventist University.

Jackson, a junior from Harvest, Ala., scored 22 points and grabbed nine rebounds in 37 minutes in the 86-82 win over the Shock Saturday night.

Green, a senior forward from Tampa Bay, Fla., poured in 23 points and grabbed 11 rebounds against WAU as the Ambassadors' dynamic duo helped Oakwood win its season opener in head coach Wooderson Durosier's debut.

"Those two guys were fantastic," Durosier said. "They were both very efficient and they complimented each other extremely well. We wouldn't have won without them."

Jackson was 5-of-7 from the field, including 2-of-3 from 3-point range, and made all 10 of his free throws. He also had two assists and a steal in 37 minutes.

Green was 5-of-8 from the field, including 1-of-2 from beyond the arc, and was 12-of-16 from the charity stripe. He also had one steal and a block in 31 minutes.

Oakwood will try to improve to 2-0 Thursday when it visits Tennessee Southern. Tipoff is 7 p.m. in Pulaski, Tenn.
