JONES, HOWARD NAMED OAKWOOD'S CO-PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Anna Jones and Jordan Howard have been named Oakwood University's Co-Players of the Week for the week ending March 29.

Jones, a 5-foot-10 senior catcher/1B from Attalla, batted .778, going 7-for-9 at the plate, including three doubles and a triple, scored three runs and had four RBI to help the Ambassadors take two of three games last week against Talladega College.

She was 3-for-4 in the opener with a triple and a double, scored two runs and had an RBI. Jones was 2-for-2 in the second game with two doubles and three RBI and capped the weekend series by going 2-for-3 and scored a run in the finale.

Jones is currently batting .491 with one homer and 20 RBI.

Howard, a 5-0 sophomore shortstop from Pelham, batted .600, going 6-for-10 at the plate, including a pair of doubles, scored six runs and had two RBI.

She was 2-for-4 in the opener, including a double, and scored a run. Howard was 3-for-3 with a double in the second game, scored four runs and had two RBI and capped the weekend series by 1-for-3 and scored a run in the finale.

Howard is currently batting .483 with one homer and 16 RBI.
