OAKWOOD'S BELL AND ADAMS NAMED TO 2026 HOPE CREDIT UNION HBCUAC ALL-TOURNAMENT TEAM

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Oakwood University placed two players on the 2026 Hope Credit Union HBCU Athletic Conference Basketball Championship All-Tournament Team, league officials announced Monday.
 
Oakwood senior forward Jordan Bell was named to the men's team, while senior guard Trenisha Adams was named to the women's team.
 
Bell averaged 17 points on 51 percent shooting, and six rebounds last week as Oakwood made a run to the semifinals of the HBCUAC Championship. He also had 10 assists, five steals and two blocks.
 
Bell had 25 points and seven rebounds in a win over Wiley College last Tuesday and followed up that effort with 13 points and five rebounds against Dillard.
 
A first-team All-HBCUAC selection, Bell posted 19 points and eight rebounds in a win over Talladega College and then had 11 points and four rebounds in a loss to Tougaloo in the semifinals.
 
Adams averaged 15 points, seven rebounds and 4.5 assists as Oakwood advanced to the semifinals of the HBCUAC Championship. She also had five steals and a block.
 
A first-team All-HBCUAC selection, Adams had 19 points, six rebounds, four assists and three steals in a quarterfinal win over Wilberforce. She followed up that effort with 11 points, eight rebounds, five assists, two steals and a block in a loss to eventual champion Rust College.
