MURRAY, WILEY POWER OAKWOOD VOLLEYBALL PAST LEMOYNE-OWEN

AMBASSADORS 5-0 ON THE ROAD THIS SEASON

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Kamaria Murray and Alexis Wiley finished with double-doubles Monday night to power Oakwood University past LeMoyne-Owen College 3-1 in a college volleyball match inside Bruce Hall.

The Ambassadors downed the Magicians 25-16, 18-25, 25-20 and 25-22.

Oakwood, which swept the season series over LeMoyne-Owen, improved to 6-3 on the season. The Magicians fell to 1-5.

Murray finished with game-highs in kills (19) and digs (22), while coming away with four aces.

Wiley had 15 assists, 12 digs and four aces.

Cameryn Bucknor finished with a game-high 18 assists and four aces.

Morgan Bone and Anna Jones had nine and seven kills, respectively.

Arial Smith had 13 digs.

Kyndall Steward led LeMoyne-Owen with nine kills. Maddelyn Ross had 16 assists, while Makenzye Johnson finished with 20 digs.

Oakwood visits Stillman College Thursday in an HBCU Athletic Conference game. First serve is set for 6 p.m.
