OAKWOOD VOLLEYBALL BATTLES BACK, BUT FALLS TO TUSKEGEE IN FIVE SETS

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Oakwood University volleyball fell behind NCAA Division II Tuskegee University 2-0 Wednesday afternoon, but the Ambassadors battled back to tie the game before the Golden Tigers won the final set to come away with the victory inside Ashby Auditorium.

Tuskegee won 25-17, 25-14, 23-25, 20-25 and 15-11.

The loss dropped Oakwood to 4-3 on season, while Tuskegee improved to 3-0.

Kamaria Murray led the Ambassadors with a game-high 13 kills. She also had three aces.

Harmonie Banks had eight kills, while Morgan Bone finished with five. Banks and Bone had three blocks each.

Alexis Wiley and Cameryn Bucknor posted double-doubles.

Wiley had 16 assists and 12 digs, while Bucknor finished with 15 assists and a game-high 20 digs. Bucknor also had two blocks, while Wiley had two aces.

Myah Beasley was also in double figures with 17 digs.

Kayla Coleman and Najwa Williams led the Golden Tigers with 12 kills apiece.

Mikea Allen had a game-high 27 assists and also posted 17 digs. Sahnee Dillahunt-Ned finished with 22 assists.

Chole Edwards and Zariah Messick had 16 digs each.

Oakwood visits Rust College tonight in an HBCU Athletic Conference game. First serve is set for 6.
