ALEXANDER, BELL AND MURRAY NAMED OAKWOOD'S PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Jamarkus Alexander, Jordan Bell and Kamaria Murray have been named Oakwood University's Players of the Week sponsored by Zaxby's.

Alexander, Bell and Murray were honored for their performances from Feb. 2 through Feb. 9.

In two games, Alexander, a 6-foot-4 junior guard from Birmingham, averaged 20 points and 7.5 rebounds.

He shot 63 percent (17-of-27) from the field and had five assists, five steals and two blocks while playing more than 33 minutes per game.

Alexander had 22 points on Tuesday in a loss to Miles College and then added 18 in an 84-80 win over Stillman College on Thursday.

Bell, a 6-6 senior forward from Mobile, averaged 21.5 points and seven rebounds per game.

He shot 61 percent (17-of-28) from the field and had four assists and one block while playing 37 minutes per game.

Bell had 14 points on Tuesday against Miles College and then scored 29 points in an 84-80 win over Stillman College on Thursday.

Murray, a 5-8 freshman guard from Murfreesboro, Tenn., averaged 21 points and three rebounds in the Ambassadors' only game last week at Stillman College.

She was 8-of-13 from the field, including 4-of-6 from 3-point range, to go along with five assists and a steal in 40 minutes.
