TUSKEGEE BEATS OAKWOOD IN STRAIGHT SETS TO SNAP TWO-GAME WINNING STREAK

TUSKEGEE – Tuskegee University downed Oakwood University in straight sets Monday night in a non-conference volleyball match inside the Daniel Chappie James Center.

The Golden Tigers won 25-17, 25-18 and 25-9 to snap the Ambassadors' two-game winning streak.

Oakwood fell to 10-8 with the loss, while Tuskegee improved to 11-9.

Mona Okello led the Ambassadors with seven kills. Cammora Robinson and Anna Jones finished with six and five kills, respectively.

Alexis Wiley led the way with 12 assists, while Cameryn Bucknor added 11.

Okello had 13 digs, while Arial Smith finished with 12. Wiley had eight.

Najwa Williams led the Golden Tigers with eight kills, while Gabriella Jones added six.

Sahnee Dillahunt-Nedd had a game-high 15 assists, while Mikea Allen finished with 11.

Jasmine Brantley had 13 digs, while Najwa Williams added nine.

Oakwood is back in action Thursday when Wilberforce University invades Ashby Auditorium for an important HBCU Athletic Conference game. First serve is set for 6 p.m.
