GREEN, ADAMS NAMED OAKWOOD'S CO-PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Jordan Green and Trenisha Adams have been named Oakwood University's Co-Players of the Week sponsored by Zaxby's.

Green and Adams were selected for their performances during the week of Jan. 20 through Jan. 26.

In Oakwood's lone contest during the week, Green scored 28 points in 26 minutes, including 22 points in the second half to help the Ambassadors snap their 16-game losing streak in a come-from-behind 73-71 win over Wilberforce University Thursday night in an HBCUAC game.

A 6-foot-5 sophomore forward from Columbus, OH, Green was 10-of-12 from the field, including 3-of-5 from 3-point range, and 5-of-7 from the free throw line. He also had three rebounds and two steals.

Adams, a 5-5 junior guard from Rome, GA, had 20 points, five rebounds and four assists to power Oakwood to its fifth straight win in a 63-60 victory over Wilberforce University Thursday.

Adams was 7-of-16 from the field, including 5-of-12 from beyond the arc, and 1-of-2 from the charity stripe. She also had two steals and played the entire 40 minutes.
