MURRAY, FANN NAMED OAKWOOD'S CO-PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Kamaria Murray and Damon Fann have been named Oakwood University's Co-Players of the Week sponsored by Zaxby's.

Murray and Fann were honored for their performances from January 13-19.

A 5-foot-8 freshman guard from Murfreesboro, Tenn., Murray helped Oakwood go 1-0 last week with an important HBCUAC home win over Rust College.

Murray had one of her most efficient games of the season, finishing with 16 points on 5-of-6 shooting, including making all three of her 3-pointers, and going 3-for-4 at the free throw line. She also had four assists, two rebounds, two steals and a block shot in 32 minutes.

A 6-foot-2 shooting guard from Murfreesboro, Tenn., Fann averaged 15.5 points per game in a pair of close losses last week.

Fann had 15 points on 4-of-9 shooting, including three 3-pointers, and was 4-of-5 from the charity stripe in a 70-69 loss to Rust College. He also had three steals, two rebounds and one assist in 22 minutes.

In a loss to Tennessee Southern, Fann scored 16 points on 4-of-9 shooting, including three 3-pointers, and was 5-of-6 from the free throw line. He also had one rebound and one block in 31 minutes.
