MURRAY, ALEXANDER NAMED OAKWOOD'S CO-PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Kamaria Murray and Jamarkus Alexander were named Oakwood University's Co-Players of the Week today sponsored by Zaxby's. Murray and Alexander were honored for their performances from Jan. 7 through Jan. 12.

Murray, a 5-foot-8 freshman guard from Murfreesboro, Tenn., had her coming party in a 78-76 overtime win at Fisk University last Thursday night when she scored a career-high 26 points.

Murray was 10-of-22 from the field, including 6-of-13 from 3-point range. She also had four rebounds, three steals and one assist in 41 minutes.

Alexander, a 6-4 junior guard from Birmingham, scored a season-high 24 points in 25 minutes in a narrow 83-79 loss at Fisk University last Thursday night.

Alexander was 9-of-16 from the field, including 6-of-10 from beyond the arc. He also had eight rebounds, four assist and one block.
