BUCKNOR'S DOUBLE DOUBLE HELPS OAKWOOD OUTLAST TOUGALOO

JACKSON, Miss. – Cameryn Bucknor had a double-double to help Oakwood University outlast Tougaloo College 3-1 Saturday night in the HBCUAC Crossover.
 
The Ambassadors downed the Bulldogs 25-21, 13-25, 25-20 and 25-23.
 
Oakwood improved to 6-10 overall and 4-4 in league play with the win. Tougaloo fell to 1-11 and 1-4.
 
Kamaria Murray and Cequoyah Harris led the Ambassadors with seven kills each.
 
Bucknor finished with 20 assists and 12 digs. Myah Beasley had seven digs, while Miriangie Rondon added five.
 
Kaliyah Shavers led Tougaloo with 11 kills. Cameron Gatlin and Taylor Cousar finished with 18 and 11 assists, respectively. Ke'Ira Collier had a game-high 15 digs.
 
Oakwood is back in action Tuesday at Blue Mountain.
