HARRIS, OKELLO NAMED OAKWOOD'S CO-PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Cequoyah Harris and Mona Okello were named Oakwood University's Co-Players of the Week sponsored by Zaxby's.
 
Harris, a 6-foot-2 freshman middle blocker from Forest Park, Ga., and Okello, a 5-6 sophomore middle blocker from Overland Park, Kan., helped Oakwood go 2-1 during the week of Sept. 16-22.
 
Harris had 14 kills and two blocks in a four-set win over Miles College on Monday and added five kills, five blocks and two digs in a loss to Stillman College on Tuesday.
 
All total, Harris finished with week with 19 kills, seven blocks and two digs.
 
Okello had 12 kills, seven digs, one assist and one ace in the win over Miles and recorded seven kills, five digs and four aces against Stillman.
 
All total, Okello finished with 19 kills, 12 digs, five aces and one assist.
 
Oakwood was slated to host Wilberforce University on Thursday, but transportation issues forced the Bulldogs to forfeit the game.
