HARRIS, OKELLO, MURRAY POWER OAKWOOD PAST MILES

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Cequoyah Harris, Mona Okello and Kamaria Murray combined for 36 kills to power Oakwood University to a 3-1 win over Miles College Monday night in a college volleyball match inside Ashby Auditorium.
 
The Ambassadors downed the Golden Bears 25-19, 25-23, 21-25 and 28-26.
 
Oakwood improved to 3-6 with the win, while Miles fell to 0-3.
 
Harris finished with a game-high 14 kills, while Okello added 12. Murray finished with a double-double, coming away with 10 kills and 10 digs. She also had five aces.
 
Myah Beasley had 11 kills. Cameryn Bucknor had 34 assists, nine digs and three aces.
 
Kayla Trawick, Kendall Townsend and Laylah Sanders had nine kills apiece to lead Miles.
 
Saraih Taylor and Kayla Hill had 23 and 10 assists, respectively for the Golden Bears.
 
Eliyah McIIwain had 21 digs and Trawick finished with 11.
 
Oakwood visits Stillman College tonight at 6.
