OAKWOOD HOST FAULKNER IN DOUBLEHEADER TONIGHT

Huntsville, Ala. – Oakwood University will host Faulkner University tonight in a non-conference doubleheader inside Ashby Auditorium.

The women's game tips off at 6, followed by the men's game.

On the women's side, both teams enter the contest 1-1.

The Ambassadors have a win over Washington Adventist and a loss to Tennessee Southern. Meanwhile, the Eagles beat Rust College and lost to Stillman College.

Oakwood is led by freshman Saniya Keys and junior Trenisha Adams.

Keys is averaging 26 points and 17.5 rebounds per game, while shooting almost 57 percent from the field. Adams is averaging 12 points, 4.5 rebounds and three assists per game.

Faulkner is led by Morgan Holland Dewitt, Ruthie Smith and Sydney Steward.

Dewitt is averaging 17 points and 9.5 rebounds per game. Smith is pouring in 12.5 points and 5.5 rebounds, while Steward is averaging 11 points and 8.5 rebounds per game.

Faulkner point guard Nequoia Adams, who played locally at Madison Academy, has missed the first two games due to recovering from ACL surgery last season. She averaged 12.5 points per game last season.

On the men's side, Oakwood enters the game 1-3 and is coming off a 97-69 loss at Dalton State, Ga.

Faulkner is 3-0 and beat Stillman College 62-57 last Tuesday.

The Ambassadors are led by Jeray Randle, Jaywill Thornton and Damon Fann.

Randle is averaging a team-high 13.3 points and 4.2 rebounds per game. He leads the team with 13 3-pointers.

Thornton is averaging 11.5 points and 3.5 rebounds, while Fann is averaging 10.7 points and three rebounds per game.

The Eagles are led by Jonathan Garcia, Gabriel Rivera and T.J. Williams.

Garcia is averaging 21 points per game, while Rivera is averaging 19.3 points and 8.7 rebounds.

Williams is averaging 13 points and 10 rebounds.
