OAKWOOD DOMINATES RUST BEHIND MURRAY, HARRIS

Holly Springs, Miss. – Kamaria Murray and Cequoyah Harris combined for 21 kills and they got plenty of help from their friends as Oakwood University dominated Rust College 3-0 Thursday night in an HBCU Athletic Conference match inside the W.A. McMillan Center.
 
The Ambassadors downed the Bearcats 25-11, 25-17 and 25-12.
 
Oakwood improved to 7-11 overall and 5-4 in HBCUAC play with the win.
 
Murray finished with 11 kills, while Harris added 10. Mona Okello had eight, Anna Jones five and Hannah Wingate 4.
 
Myah Beasley had a game-high 24 digs, one of four players to post double figures in that category.
 
Okello had 12, Cameryn Bucknor 12 and Jones 10.
 
Bucknor had a double-double, finishing with 27 assists to go along with her 12 digs. In addition to her four kills and four digs, Wingate also had four service aces.
